Lending Library
We offer a variety of different learning tools for you to check out and share with
little ones. These educational resources are FREE to parents and providers with children Birth to Five. These materials are used to encourage and enhance the learning experience at home or in the day care setting.

What is a Lending Library?
The Lending Library is a collection of tote that include multi-sensory play materials that build early learning skills. Materials include high quality wooden puzzles, books, CDs, puppets, musical instruments, push toys and more.
Where is the Lending Library located?
Our Lending Library is located at the Saginaw ISD Transitions Center, 3860 Fashion Square Blvd., Saginaw, MI 48603. Materials may be picked up and returned at the Arenac ISD, with prior arrangements.
What are the hours?
We are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except for Holidays. We are closed between Christmas and New Year's.
What is the length of time materials can be checked out for?
Materials can be checked out for 2 weeks at a time.
How many items can be checked out at one time?
We allow up to 6 items per check out.
Can I reserve a bin or tote if it's already checked out?
Yes, we recommend you call first, to see if the materials are in.
Who is responsible if an item is lost or damaged?
Individuals checking out the matrials are responsible if an item is lost or damaged beyond normal wear and tear.
How will I know if I have all items in the tote or bin?
There is an itemized list on the lid of the tote and in the backback to help track of the materials. If possible introduce the items in the tote to the children one at a time and rotate them so not everything is out at once. Pre-planning for using the materials is your best plan.
Is there a fee or deposit required to check out materials?
There is no fee or deposit required.
How are items cleaned after usage?
There is a set in instructions provided in each bin or tote., We ask that individuals follow the instructions provided. We also clean the toys using a heat wand to clean the toys.
Will there be classes to help providers/parents to use the materials?
We offer classes from time to time. Please go to the Great Start CONNECT for the schedule and register.
Are there any signed agreements?
All users must have a signed user agreement. They will be provided at the time of check out.
